This policy covers you in the event of an unexpected mechanical breakdown or electrical failure for motorcycles, off-road bikes and quads.

Benefits

This policy covers the repair or replacement of components specifically listed under the ‘Components Covered’ section due to a mechanical breakdown or electrical failure which occurs during the cover period of this policy.  Mechanical breakdown or electrical failure means the burning out of any of the components listed in the “Components Covered” section.

Eligible Motorcycles

Only motorcycles less than 10 years old and which have covered less than 100 000km at the time of sale. The policy is applicable to motorcycles, off- road bikes and quads. We do not accept risk on hire motorcycles, rebuilt motorcycles (CODE 3), and modified motorcycles (including turbo conversions) and motorcycles that are, or have been, used in any form of motoring competition. For the purpose of this policy, motorcycles are grouped into plan types depending on the age and kilometers at the time of sale.

1.1 Motorcycle Categories

Motorcycles are categorized according to year model, or the distance travelled at the time of purchase of the warranty.  Please see table below, which indicates the motorcycle categories.

AUTO Elite Plan M Motorcycles not previously registered. (new)
AUTO Elite Plan A Motorcycles less than 1 year old and less than 15 000km travelled.
AUTO Elite Plan B Motorcycles less than 5 years old (60 months from the first date of registration) and less than 60 000km travelled.
AUTO Elite Plan C Motorcycles other than the above which are less than 10 years old (120 months from the first date of registration) and less than 100 000km travelled.
